Home News Tribune: Vibrant festival in Dismal Swamp celebrates nature

EDISON — More than 500 people shared the message of a “better environment and a better world” at the Edison Wetlands Association’s Earth Day 2012 event at the Triple C Ranch.

Sunday’s celebration included tours of the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area, a petting zoo, a scavenger hunt and the reopening of the renovated nature center at the ranch, which is operated by the association.

“I am not surprised by the turnout, but I am very encouraged,” said David Wheeler, Triple C Ranch director of operations and author of “Wild New Jersey: Nature Adventures in the Garden State.”
