EWA to host Earth Day Festival on April 13

Edison Wetlands Association (EWA) will celebrate Earth Day 2013 at the eleventh annual Earth Day event at the Triple C Ranch and Nature Center, the last farm in northern Middlesex County. The event will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 10 AM to 2 PM (rain date Sunday, April 21) at the Triple C Ranch located at 206 Tyler Road in Edison.

EWA’s Earth Day celebration will include wildlife exhibits in the Triple C Nature Center, a petting zoo, live music with Jim Collins and the Watchung Mountain Riders Band, eco-tours of the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area, raffles, an environmental award presentation, Dismal Swamp cleanup, and arts & crafts for kids. Girl Scout troops will be leading volunteer nature cleanups of the Bound Brook headwaters and trails next to the Triple C Ranch. The suggested donation for admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children and free for active EWA members.

EWA is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment in Central New Jersey.
